Hield picked up the ball right after the start of the controversial, turned around and accurately threw from behind the arc. Buddy finished in just 3 seconds, now he owns the fastest 3-point hit in NBA history (since the introduction of play-by-play statistics in 1996).
The previous record was also set by a Pacers player. Reggie Miller on March 5, 2000 threw from behind the arc 4 seconds after the start of the meeting with the Warriors.
