Audi has prepared for difficulties in Formula 1.
The automaker acquired Sauber`s minority stake (it competes in F1 as Alfa Romeo until the end of 2023). From the 2026 season, Audi and Sauber will become strategic partners; the German company intends to create its own power plants at the base in Neuburg.
We must remain realistic. Apparently, the first and second seasons will be difficult, " said Audi F1 executive director Adam Baker in an interview with Deutschen Presse-Agentur.
