Football tips Lakers give Kareem Abdul-Jabbar a ring with 578 diamonds

The Lakers presented legendary center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with a gold ring in honor of his distinguished career and scoring record, which he held for nearly 40 years.


The famous jeweler Jason Arashebene was commissioned to make the ring.


The ring consists of 578 round white diamonds set in yellow gold. The front features Kareem`s number 33, as well as his signature skyhook, which he used to beat Wilt Chamberlain.


On the side it says Abdul-Jabbar, along with his game mentioned by archive football win predictions number, the date he set the record (April 5, 1984), his career points total (38, 387) and the number 38. That`s how many years Kareem held the record.


Last Tuesday, Lakers forward LeBron James surpassed Abdul-Jabbar`s career points record to become the leading scorer in NBA history.
